I have tried to import my mails from my gmail suit account to the new gmail account but so far, I haven’t got any emails imported from the source account.

The problem is my source gmail account (gmail suite) will be closed on Aug. 31, 2018.
So I wonder if there is anything else I should do before the deadline.

Any suggestion or comment would be really appreciated.

    Thank you,

    A. Praditsm

    Hi,

    I am Blanca from ShuttleCloud.

In order to import your emails from your GSuite account to your new Gmail account, I would recommend you tried the Carbo marketplace app. For help with the Carbo app, please see http://support.getcarbo.com/.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I´ll be happy to help!

    Best,
    Blanca.

    Hi,

My email is a G Suite for Education account and
I’m only a user, not an administrator of the G Suite.
Will I be able to sign up and use Carbo app?

    Thank you,

    A.P.

    Hi,

At this time, Carbo´s role as a G Suite Reseller prevents it from taking on legacy free accounts, non-profit, or G Suite for Education accounts. In order to sign up with Carbo, you must be on a paid G Suite account. Im very sorry for the inconveniences.

You can try this alternative way to import your emails:

    -Sign into your Gmail account.
-In the top right, click the gear icon, and select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
-Click the “Accounts and Import” or “Accounts” tab.
-In the “Check mail from other accounts” section, click “Add a mail account”.
-Type the email address of your GSuite account, then click “Next Step”.
    -Type your GSuite password.
-Also, type the POP Server pop.gmail.com and the POP port select 995.

RECOMMENDED: Check the boxes next to the options below:
    >“Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail”
    >“Label incoming messages”
    -Leave the other boxes unchecked.
    -Click “Add Account”.

Please let me know if this helps!

    Best,
    Blanca.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I’ve already tried the steps as suggested
since the beginning of Aug. but never got
    any imported mails.

Would you be able to suggest other way I could try
    to import my email?

    Thank you,

    A.P.

    Hi,

Im sorry you are still having trouble with the import, I understand this may be very frustrating!

Please try changing the password from your G Suite account and running the POP setup in your Gmail account:

    -On your computer, open Gmail.
-In the top right, click Settings .
-Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
-In the “POP Download” section, select Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP for
mail that arrives from now on.
-At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes

You may need to Enable less-secure Apps for that account >> https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps

Then try the whole process again:

    -Sign into your Gmail account.
-In the top right, click the gear icon, and select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
-Click the “Accounts and Import” or “Accounts” tab.
-In the “Check mail from other accounts” section, click “Add a mail account”.
-Type the email address of your GSuite account, then click “Next Step”.
    -Type your GSuite password.
-Also, type the POP Server pop.gmail.com and the POP port select 995.

If after this it still doesn´t work, please let me know an email account to which we can contact you directly in order to try another alternative.

    Best,
    Blanca.

    Hi Linda,

ShuttleCloud is in charge of the email and contact migrations you perform within your account, but we do not have access to any of your personal information and therefore we cannot help you recovering your password, Im very sorry for the inconveniences!

I would suggest you tried via Google Support.

    Best,
    Blanca.

    Hi Bianca,
Following your response above, I have 2 questions to ask.

    1. Can Carbo do multiple mailbox movement/migration at the same time?

    2. You said in your previous comment above that “ShuttleCloud is in charge of the email and contact migrations you perform within your account” how is this possible? Please shed more light?

    Thank you.

    Hi Blanca,

Thank you for suggesting another way to import mails.
    I did try as follows:

    G Suite account (Source)
    – Change password

    Gmail account (Destination)
    – Enable POP for all mails
    – Turn “Allow less secure apps: ON”
    – Do the whole process as you suggested again

Hopefully it’ll work this time and I will let you know.

    Many thanks,

    A.P.

    Hi,

After trying the steps as you suggested which are,

    G Suite account (Source)
    – Change password
    Gmail account (Destination)
    – Enable POP for all mails
    – Turn “Allow less secure apps: ON”
    – Do the whole process as suggested again

I still have not seen any email imported
    to my Gmail account.

If you could please contact me at
    praditsma@gmail.com
to let me know about another alternative way
to import mails, I would be really appreciated.

I hope I could get the import done before Aug. 31
when my G Suite account will be closed.

    Thank you,

    A.P.
